The Emmaus Center is a forum to highlight the true, the good, and the beautiful as they have been expressed throughout the ages. Cognizant of our creation in the image and likeness of God, The Emmaus Center aspires to present the heights and depths of human expression in thought and culture, featuring humankind as fully alive. We proclaim that life is worth living, especially when we seek to deepen, explore and challenge ourselves, Catholic and non-Catholic alike, intellectually, artistically, and spiritually through art, music, performance, worship, and celebration.
The Emmaus Center is a performing arts center in Williamsburg with the ability to present a vibrant mix of catered, theater, film, music, worship, art and discussion, and lecture events. The Emmaus Center is housed in the Historic Williamsburg Opera house built in 1897 and renovated in 2020. Situated above SS. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, the wheelchair-accessible Center includes the 800-seat theater, x square feet banquet space, and x square feet art gallery/reception space.
